I bought a new Western Digital 250GB external drive.  I decided to buy it when I realized I didn't have enough money in my budget for a new Media Center PC just yet.  This way I can start copying my DVD's to my new hard drive now in anticipation of getting a nice media center pc in the future.  So far I like it a lot.  I was worried that USB2 wouldn't be fast enough to stream video over it, but it works without a problem.  I'm currently transferring all the files off of my server.  Unfortunately it only has USB1 and is slow as heck.  It should be done in about 4 hours.
