If you are still reading my blog... thanks.  I know I haven't been very active lately.  One of the big reasons I've slowed down so much has been comment spam.  It has been getting insane.  I'm talking 50+ emails a day.  Maybe for some that's not much, but for me it's too much.  It made me so upset that I have thought about taking my blog down and giving up. 

Well, tonight I found some energy somewhere to try to keep the fight against spam alive.  I already had some protection running using triggers on the db side that searches for keywords.  I'm going to try a similar approach now with some code from Brian Delahunty.  I'm also considering adding some sort of CAPTCHA solution to help with spam not entered by trackbacks.

Hopefully this will get me motivated to start writing again.
