I picked up this book the other day.  I've read about half of it so far and I really like it.  Most of Joel's thoughts are in alignment with my experiences.  It's nice to know there are people and companies out there that seem to have a grasp on reality.  I wish that Fog Creek would open an office in Ann Arbor. 

Hey Joel, if you are interested let me know.  There are lot's of smart programmers pouring out of the University of Michigan and a good company like yours could help convince them to stay in the area.  Oh, and if you are looking for a manager type like you explained here, I'd love to help.  There aren't many jobs out there right now that could convince me of stopping my own company from moving along, but Fog Creek seems like it could be one of them.
