I'm one of those guys who won't buy an iPod because of AAC device lock-in.  I've always hated that I can't install MacOS on the same box I run Windows.  This isn't an easy decision because even though my Creative Zen Micro does it's job, it doesn't do it as well as an iPod. One feature that I've always wanted is a way to control and charge my zen micro in my car without squinting at the tiny screen.  The scroll controls are almost un-usable while traveling down the highway.

Well, finally Dual has decided to support something other than Apple with this functionality. Dual is releasing a new stereo - the XDMR7710.  I'm currently using an Awia car stereo with a faceplate headphone jack to connect my zen.  I can't wait to replace it with the Dual.

It's one more step toward competing with the iPod, now if they would just spend a little more time on their user interface like apple has they'd be getting close.
