I installed Vista on my Tecra M7 to try it out.  The first thing I noticed was that my screen wouldn't rotate.  I looked around online and found this thread very helpful.  After playing for a while with ideas posted there I came up with a list of what worked for me:

1) Go to the Toshiba support page and Find all the files for the M7. Download the following:
-Toshiba ACPI Common Modules for XP
-Toshiba Rotation Utility for Windows XP
-Toshiba Tablet PC Buttons Driver for Windows XP

2) Install the Toshiba aCPI Common Modules

3) Download and install the bios update for nvidia or intel found here:

4) Search the registry for "RotateFlag" and set the value to 16 (instead of 8)

5) install the Toshiba Rotation Utility for Windows XP

6) install the Toshiba Tablet PC Buttons Driver for Windows XP

7) Right click on the Toshiba Rotation Utility (find it in your start menu under Toshiba) and go to properties. Select the compatibility tab, and check the box that says: Run this program in compatibility mode.

8) Reboot

Now on to the fingerprint reader.
